Coaching Development supports coaching's continuing professional development

11/04/2007

LONDON, UK Coaching Development Ltd has today announced the launch of three new training programmes for experienced coaches: Advanced Certificate in Coaching, Diploma in Coaching and Certificate in Coach Supervision.

The Advanced Certificate in Coaching and Diploma in Coaching programmes are targeted at practising trained coaches seeking to deepen their learning. Both programmes combine observed coaching sessions, supervision, advanced master-classes, personal coaching and peer group work.  The programmes are offered twice a year and take place over six months.

"Historically Coaching Development has provided rigorous in-depth, experiential coach training -  fully accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF) -  for committed, motivated, adult participants irrespective of previous experience.  With these two new programmes we want to provide an opportunity for well-trained coaches to continue to grow in a structured, challenging and rewarding environment," Philip Brew, Coaching Development Co-Director, said.

Whilst the Advanced Certificate in Coaching is open to all trained coaches, entry to the Diploma in Coaching is restricted to those who have completed ICF-accredited coach training.  Those who successfully complete the Diploma have fulfilled the requirements for ICF's Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential and the training and examination requirements for ICF's Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential.

The Certificate in Coach Supervision is a nine-day London-based programme for trained, practicing and experienced coaches wishing to take on the role of coach supervisor.  The programme is strongly experiential, drawing on a variety of supervision models.

"Dramatic growth in the coaching world is driving demand for a body of coach supervisors. Our programme is designed to build a body of well-trained, informed supervisors who understand the ethics, responsibilities, practices and defining features of the coaching profession," said Colin Brett, Coaching Development Co-Director.
